The Orpheum seats over 2,600 people and no ticket is required to attend. We recommend arriving early as admission will be granted on a first come, first served basis. Your full party must arrive together, as seats cannot be saved
Important Note: To prepare for our next performance, all guests must exit the theatre at 4:30pm. If you are joining us for the 7:30pm VSO performance, please exit and rejoin the queue outside the Orpheum entrance.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of music as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra concludes the Day of Music with a free concert. Conducted by VSO Music Director, Otto Tausk, the Sinfonietta joins our musicians on stage for selections of Dvořák’s majestic Symphony No. 9 (‘New World’). As well, the Future of Excellence winner, violinist Yaming Zhu accompanies Maestro Tausk for Fantasy of Bizet’s “Carmen”.
This year’s Day of Music online programming will shine a spotlight on musical learning. Province-wide, the musically curious can come together on June 1, 2024 to learn from BC’s rich diversity of teaching artists.
