Roan Shankaruk is a musician, illustrator, performer, and classical composer. She has a double major in Opera Performance and Composition from UBC with a Masters in Music from the University of Manitoba. On weekends she performs at Granville Island as a busker specializing in vintage songs from the 1910s-1940s while accompanying herself on ukulele. Roan is hard at work on three new, operatic ventures, but currently she is collaborating with Good Mess Opera Company on a new operatic commission!
