The Upbeat Trio formed this year and is made up of 3 young musicians who are playing chamber music for the first time. Andrea Christy – violin, Alex Zeng – cello and George Zhao – piano each have their own private teachers but learn, rehearse and are coached in ensemble playing together under the guidance of pianist and VSO School of Music faculty member, Carla Dodek.
