Opera Lirica, a Vancouver-based opera company founded by Artistic Director Trudy Chalmers, brings opera to the community by way of free concerts, workshops, a community opera chorus, and more! Opera Lirica is excited to present a concert of Mexican canciones, as well as arias from Spanish opera and zarzuelas, performed by pianist and Music Director Roger Parton and award-winning soprano Catherine Thornsley, a semi-finalist in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition on the Met stage.
