A trio of previews from our upcoming CHINATOWN. Its world premiere runs at The Vancouver Playhouse 13 – 17 September 2022. Tickets go on sale in July.
A western opera, CHINATOWN is a story of family and neighbourhood, racism and resistance, love and survival. It examines six characters, two families, and a chorus of male ghosts, from the building of the CPR through to our own times. It deals with the Head Tax, the Exclusion Act, paper sons, paper promise, community and hope.
