Alley Flowers is an original theatrical song cycle that references Balkan and Jazz musical styles and draws influence from the film work of Sergei Parajanov. The composition work was funded by Canada Council and development was supported by Cumberland Village Works and Cumberland Arts and Culture Society through a residency at the Weird Church in Cumberland where the full version was rehearsed, staged and recorded. I am currently pursuing support to present the work again in French and English.
