We are pleased to participate in the VSO’s Day of Music with two selections. William Byrd’s EARL OF OXFORD MARCH was composed originally for keyboard during the late 1500s and is heard most often today performed by brass ensemble or concert band.
George Gershwin composed AN AMERICAN IN PARIS in 1928 following several visits to the French capital. The piece inspired a motion picture in 1951 starring Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron. Our arrangement is for concert band.
